You can teach a student a lesson for a day; but if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity, he will continue the learning process as long as he lives.--Clay P. Bedford
I believe in life-long learning. I have continually pursued opportunities both formal and informal where I can grow to be a stronger educator and better community participant. From workshops and conferences to fellowships and graduate studies, I have found experiences along the way which have shaped and formed my philosophy and my ability to reach and serve my students.
Some examples of leadership opportunities I have pursued:
Klingenstein Center-Columbia University Summer Institute
Graduate Studies-Johns Hopkins University
Education Fellow-Opera America
